I don't think Goku would have allowed this to happen intentionally like Vegeta did. For one, Goku wouldn't agree to sacrifice 18 just so he himself could get a better fight. Especially since the cyborgs hadn't committed any atrocities yet in this timeline. Now, what I *could* see happening is that Goku might accidentally let it happen by maybe getting caught in a solar flare or simply letting his guard down for at a crucial moment. But just standing by and watching while Cell absorbs another living being, no shot 😄

By the by don't worry about it too much. I'm more worried that you'll miss too many details than anything else. A lot of people miss a lot of jokes/details their first time through and those people aren't even trying to give commentary while their watching. It showed up twice before in another episode, but that "country music" is another version of "Cat Loves Food". Yamcha and his song "Cat Loves Food" are a reference to a part of the Funimation dub in which Yamcha sings that to Puar who is sipping a drink through a straw. When asked what that was, he replies that it's from an old cat food commercial. Thus TFS switched it around such that Yamcha would actually record a popular version of the song himself and get sick of it.

Canadian subtitles are definitely better for a second viewing. They were great when fans could still edit them, now they're more a relic of the times. Still funny, but often too much text.

II like that you still havent figured out that the person who voices the intro ususallly dies. Or is at least very relevant to the episode. Like how chi chi voices the second episode (In this react)and she dies in Gohans dream. Thats why Trunks was so confused on his outro.
